Shaw Exploration
The Oak hardwood planks in this collection are wire brushed to give the planks the look of reclaimed or barn wood. This allows for planks that hide scratches, dirt stains, and slight imperfections overall better than hardwood planks that are finished with a gloss. Instead, these hardwood wire brushed floors are perfect for spaces such as kitchens and hallways that get a lot of foot traffic.
The Exploration collection can be installed in a variety of ways. Whether you prefer to install your hardwood floors through nailing, stapling, gluing, or floating the planks, you can do it. The hardwood floors can be installed above, on, or below grade.
When it comes to sustainability, the Shaw Exploration collection consists of Oak hardwood that is legally delivered and sourced. In terms of warranty, a five year commercial warranty is available as well as a splash-proof lifetime residential warranty.
The Collection
The Shaw Exploration Oak collection is available in five different hardwood Oak colors. Passage is a light, neutral brown tone. This hardwood flooring option is perfect for a space that has a lot of light such as a kitchen or for a modern living room to complement a neutral color palette. Harbor is a light brown Oak hardwood floor with hints of grey throughout. Horizon is light brown floor with hints of dark brown knots and a weathered look throughout. This is the perfect hardwood flooring option for adding a modern yet rustic feel to a space. Journey is a blend of light cherry browns with hints of grey throughout. It adds a sophisticated feel to a space while also adding some character to it. Voyage is a warm and inviting blend of light cherry browns and medium tone browns with dark brown knots throughout. The color palette of the oak hardwood is perfect for those who want a floor that makes more of a statement and doesn’t completely blend into the background.
The Shaw Exploration West collection is made up of three Oak hardwood flooring options. All the hardwood flooring options in this collection are medium to dark brown. Canyon a medium brown hardwood floor with dark knots throughout. This is perfect for those looking for a more rustic flooring option that has a darker tone to it. Summit is a similar hardwood floor, however, it is slightly darker. Vale is the darkest hardwood flooring option in this collection. A bold and rich dark brown with dark knots throughout and weathering, this floor makes a statement and adds a sophisticated feel to a space.
The Shaw Exploration Hickory collection comes in four different hardwood Oak colors. There’s a nice range of colors to choose from in this collection. The Dune flooring option is stunning and bold. A blend of light browns, medium tone browns, and dark browns, Dune is the perfect complement to any interior design space. It’s blend of colors makes it a nice complement to modern and more rustic interior design. Inlet is a unique flooring option. It is perfect for the modern cabin feel to a space.
