Chesapeake Heartland
Chesapeake Heartland planks in this collection are made with a SPC core. SPC stands for stone polymer composite. Vinyl and stones are mixed together to create this core. The core is fused together using very high heat on the balance layers, print film, and wear layer of the plank. The planks have a 20 mil wear layer to protect them from daily wear and tear such as spills and scratches. The planks also come with an IXPE pad. This pad is completely waterproof giving your floor the protection it needs from mold while cushioning sounds from above and below. Planks are finished with two coats of UV cured acrylic enhanced with ceramic beads. For a realistic hardwood flooring appearance, the floors in this collection are Embossed In Register. This mean that the flooring has texture in the wear layer in order for the planks to mimic the appearance of real hardwood flooring.
Planks in the Chesapeake Heartland collection can be installed using the float method. The float installation method makes floors easy to install, easy to replace if damages occur, and saves you money overall.

The Collection
The collection is made up of five different colors to choose from. Overall this is a darker collection with dark greys and chestnut browns. The majority of the colors in this collection are rich, bold, and make a statement in a space. Aurora is the lightest flooring option in the Chesapeake Heartland collection. A blend of light brown with hints of dark browns, this flooring option is rustic, yet still modern and sophisticated. There are two grey flooring options. Champaign is a light grey that has an almost washed out appearance to it. This adds a minimalistic, Scandinavian design to it. It would complement a minimalistic space. Ozark is a dark grey flooring option. The dark grey appearance makes for a space that is bold and dramatic. Eureka is a dark brown floor that is a blend of a variety of brown hues. Oakley is a warm, chestnut and light brown flooring option. This floor will add a warm and inviting feel to a kitchen, living room, or dining room space.
