Installation

Carpet tiles can be installed in a variety of ways in order to enhance the design of the flooring. This is another way that you can customize carpet tile to your space.

• Monolithic

With monolithic carpet tile installation the carpet tile squares are installed in the same orientation across the room in near row and columns that line up perfectly with one another.

• Quarter Turn

This installation method is similar to monolithic as tiles are installed in neat rows and columns that perfectly line up. However, with quarter turn installation each tile is rotated 90-degrees compared to the tile that comes right before it. This adds a subtle pattern to the floor.

• Brick Ashlar

The Brick Ashlar installation method is where each row of carpet tiles is shifted eight inches in a brick format. Each successive row of tiles should then be offset one-third the length of the tile. By installing carpet tiles this way they appear to be more randomly placed.

• Vertical Ashlar

The Vertical Ashlar installation method is where each row of carpet tiles is shifted eight inches in a vertical format. Each successive row of tiles should then be offset one-third the length of the tile. By installing carpet tiles this way they appear to be more randomly placed.

• Multi-Directional

Multi-directional installation is where carpet tiles are installed and must then be turned in different directions. The carpet tiles can’t be installed with any arrows facing the same direction on touching tiles.
