DIY Lauzon Hardwood

Installing Lauzon Hardwood Floors

With Lauzon hardwood floors, you have several different installation options. Depending on the product you choose, hardwood flooring can be nailed down, glued down, or installed with the floating installation technique. You’ll want to carefully consider your installation options as you make your product selection. Ask your dealer to help you decide what will work best for the specific needs of your home.

Lauzon offers engineered, EPIC Plus engineered and solid hardwood flooring.

The type of flooring you select will help determine your installation option. You will also need to take the subfloor into consideration. If your current subfloor is concrete, you will only be able to install engineered flooring, not solid hardwood.

Engineered is actually produced with three to five layers of hardwood. Lauzon's engineered products are made with either a plywood core or a high-density fiberboard core.

Solid, like it sounds, is milled from a single 3/4" thick piece of hardwood.

If you're deciding to install your Lauzon hardwood flooring yourself, the downloadable instruction manuals below will provide the information you'll need. The manuals will provide...

  • a list of required tools and accessories

  • rules for preparing your subfloor

  • guidelines for your work area

  • step-by-step instructions

To download the information, click on the instruction manual you need. But remember, these are general guidelines. Once you have purchased a specific product, you will need to make sure there are not product-specific guidelines you need to follow.
