The Mohawk First One Up II collection is a carpet tile flooring collection. Carpet tile flooring is a great flooring option to choose for many reasons. The Mohawk First One Up II collection comes in six different colors to choose from. Each color option has an array of colors blended together that the give a carpet dimension and a unique appearance to it.

The Mohawk First One Up II is solution dyed. This means that the thread is completely dyed whereas with stock dye, the thread is only dyed on the outside. Due to the fact that these threads are dyed all the way through, they hold their color longer.

Installation

Carpet tiles can be installed in a variety of ways in order to enhance the design of the flooring. This is another way that you can customize carpet tile to your space. The carpet tiles in the Mohawk First One Up II collection are 24" x 24".

• Quarter Turn

This installation method is similar to monolithic as tiles are installed in neat rows and columns that perfectly line up. However, with quarter turn installation each tile is rotated 90-degrees compared to the tile that comes right before it. This adds a subtle pattern to the floor.

• Vertical Ashlar

The Vertical Ashlar installation method is where each row of carpet tiles is shifted eight inches in a vertical format. Each successive row of tiles should then be offset one-third the length of the tile. By installing carpet tiles this way they appear to be more randomly placed.

• Brick Ashlar

The Brick Ashlar installation method is where each row of carpet tiles is shifted eight inches in a brick format. Each successive row of tiles should then be offset one-third the length of the tile. By installing carpet tiles this way they appear to be more randomly placed.

• Monolithic

With monolithic carpet tile installation the carpet tile squares are installed in the same orientation across the room in near row and columns that line up perfectly with one another.

• Multi-Directional

Multi-directional installation is where carpet tiles are installed and must then be turned in different directions. The carpet tiles can’t be installed with any arrows facing the same direction on touching tiles.
